How to Delete Your Account in MixCall
Delete Your Account
How to permanently remove your MixCall account and what happens to your data
You have the right to delete your MixCall account at any time, for any reason, at no cost. This page explains exactly how to do it, what happens to your data when you do, and what you should take care of beforehand — particularly if you have an active Google Play subscription. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Please read this page carefully before you proceed.
1. Important — Read Before You Delete
There are two things you must be aware of before deleting your account. Skipping either of these steps could result in continued charges or permanent loss of access with no way to recover your account.
If you have an active MixCall Premium subscription, deleting your account does not automatically cancel it. Your subscription is managed entirely by Google Play, and it will continue to renew and charge you even after your MixCall account is deleted.
You must cancel your subscription separately through Google Play before or immediately after deleting your account. To cancel:
Open the Google Play Store → tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → select MixCall → tap Cancel subscription.
MixCall uses a guest-based account system. There is no email address, phone number, or social login linked to your account. This means:
- Once deleted, your account cannot be recovered under any circumstances.
- Your display name, profile photo, chat history, and all associated data will be permanently removed.
- If you later wish to use MixCall again, you will need to create a completely new account from scratch.
2. How to Delete Your Account — In-App
Account deletion is done directly within the MixCall app. The process takes under a minute. Follow these steps:
Launch the MixCall app on your Android device and make sure you are on your account.
Tap your profile icon or avatar, usually located in the top corner of the home screen, to open your profile page.
Tap the Settings icon (gear icon ⚙️) to enter the app settings menu.
Scroll down within Settings and tap "Delete Account". This option is clearly labelled and separate from the logout option.
A confirmation prompt will appear explaining that deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Read it carefully, then tap "Delete" or "Confirm" to proceed.
Your account is immediately deactivated. You will be signed out of the app and your data deletion process begins. You do not need to do anything further within the app.
If you cannot locate the Delete Account option in Settings, ensure your app is updated to the latest version from the Google Play Store. If you still cannot find it, contact us at v4andro@gmail.com and we will process the deletion manually for you.
MixCall uses an anonymous guest account system. If you uninstall the app without deleting your account first, your account session is permanently lost from your device — there is no email, password, or login credential that can reconnect you to it. Your data will remain on our servers until it is automatically purged after 90 days of inactivity (see Section 3). To ensure immediate deletion, always use the in-app Delete Account option before uninstalling.
3. If You Have Already Uninstalled the App
MixCall uses an anonymous guest account system. No email address, phone number, or password is linked to your account — only an internal system-generated ID that exists on your device. When you uninstall MixCall, your session and account credentials are permanently lost. There is no credential we can ask you to provide in an email that would allow us to reliably verify that a specific account belongs to you.
For this reason, MixCall does not offer a manual email-based deletion route for accounts where the app has already been uninstalled. Offering one would create a false promise that we cannot fulfil accurately or safely, and could result in the wrong account being deleted.
Instead, MixCall operates an automatic account purge policy. Any account that has been inactive for 90 consecutive days is automatically and permanently deleted from all MixCall systems — including your profile, display name, date of birth, gender, chat history, shared images, and all associated technical data.
Because uninstalling MixCall permanently ends your session with no way to log back in, an uninstalled account will never become active again. This means it will be automatically purged within 90 days of your last use — without any action required from you.
This approach is consistent with GDPR Article 11, which recognises that where a data controller cannot reliably identify a data subject from the information available, they are not obligated to fulfil an erasure request — provided they maintain a defined and enforceable retention limit. Our 90-day auto-purge policy is that retention limit.
If you want your data deleted immediately rather than waiting up to 90 days, the only way to do this is to delete your account from within the MixCall app before you uninstall it. The in-app deletion is instantaneous and permanent. See Section 2 above for step-by-step instructions.
4. What Happens to Your Data
When you delete your MixCall account, the following happens to all data associated with it.
| Data Type | What Happens | Timeline |
|---|---|---|
| Display name & profile photo | Permanently deleted | Immediately on deletion |
| Date of birth & gender | Permanently deleted | Immediately on deletion |
| Text chat messages | Permanently deleted | Immediately on deletion |
| Shared photos in chat | Permanently deleted | Immediately on deletion |
| Live video call content | Never recorded or stored | Not applicable |
| Call session metadata (duration) | Permanently deleted | Within 30 days |
| Device & technical identifiers | Permanently deleted | Within 30 days |
| Safety & abuse records | Retained (limited period) | See Section 5 — limited period |
| Inactive account (uninstalled) | Automatically purged | 90 days after last activity |
| Legal hold data (if applicable) | Retained as required by law | Duration set by law or legal process |
MixCall does not record, store, or retain any audio or video from live call sessions. There is no call content to delete. Only call metadata — such as session duration — is stored, and this is deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
5. Data Retention & Automatic Purge
Automatic inactivity purge. Any MixCall account that has not been active for 90 consecutive days is automatically and permanently deleted from all our systems. This applies to all accounts, including those abandoned after uninstalling the app. No action is required from you for this to occur — it happens automatically as part of our data minimisation policy.
In addition, in limited circumstances we may retain certain specific data after an account is deleted or purged. This is not optional — it is required either by law or by our obligations to protect other users and cooperate with authorities.
Safety and abuse prevention. If your account was the subject of a safety report, was flagged for policy violations, or was involved in an active moderation review at the time of deletion, we may retain relevant records for a limited period. This is necessary to prevent repeat offenders from simply deleting and re-creating accounts to circumvent enforcement.
Fraud prevention. Technical identifiers associated with accounts that were banned or suspended for fraud, scamming, or financial misconduct may be retained to prevent the same device or user from re-offending on a new account.
Legal compliance. Where we have received a lawful request from law enforcement — such as a preservation order, subpoena, or court order — we are legally required to retain the relevant data for the duration specified in that legal process, regardless of whether the account has been deleted.
Child safety obligations. In accordance with applicable law, data associated with accounts reported for or confirmed to have engaged in child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or exploitation of minors is retained and provided to the relevant authorities. Deletion requests do not override these obligations.
Retained data is used only for the specific purpose it was kept — safety enforcement, fraud prevention, or legal compliance. It is never used for advertising, analytics, or any commercial purpose. It is deleted as soon as the retention purpose no longer applies.
6. Google Play Subscriptions
MixCall Premium subscriptions are purchased through and managed entirely by the Google Play Store. MixCall does not have the ability to cancel, refund, or modify your Google Play subscription on your behalf.
Your Google Play subscription will continue to renew automatically and you will continue to be charged even after your MixCall account is deleted. You must cancel the subscription yourself through the Google Play Store.
How to cancel your Google Play subscription:
Launch the Google Play Store app on your Android device.
Tap your profile picture or initial in the top-right corner of the Play Store home screen.
Select "Payments & subscriptions" from the dropdown menu, then tap "Subscriptions".
Locate MixCall in your subscriptions list, tap it, then tap "Cancel subscription" and follow the on-screen prompts to confirm.
For refund requests related to Google Play purchases, contact Google Play support directly. MixCall Team cannot issue refunds for charges processed through the Google Play billing system.
7. After Your Account Is Deleted
Once your account is deleted, the following applies immediately.
- You will be signed out of the app automatically and will not be able to sign back in to the deleted account.
- Your profile will no longer be visible to other users. Any conversations you were part of will show your messages as having been sent by a deleted account.
- You are free to download MixCall again at any time in the future and create a completely new account. Your old data will not be linked to any new account you create.
- The app itself is not uninstalled from your device — you need to uninstall it manually if you no longer wish to have it on your device.
- Any active Google Play subscription continues independently — refer to Section 6 above to cancel it.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have additional rights regarding your personal data under applicable privacy law — including the GDPR (European Economic Area and UK), CCPA (California), and other regional frameworks.
- Right to erasure (Right to be forgotten) — the right to request that we delete all personal data we hold about you. Account deletion fulfils this right for most data. Where data is retained under a legal obligation, we will inform you of the reason.
- Right to access — the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you before you delete your account.
- Right to data portability — the right to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format where technically feasible.
- Right to restriction of processing — the right to request that we limit how we use your data while a deletion request is being processed.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at v4andro@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days, or sooner where required by applicable law. For full details on how we handle your personal data, see our Privacy Policy →
